November 11-20, 2025, we are going to be embarking on the “footsteps of Paul in Greece” tour. We are calling it “Foundations of our Faith”. The reason for this is because, in many ways the foundations are in an all out assault from multiple directions. The ministry of the Apostle Paul cannot be overstated. He was one of the apostles who laid a foundation for Christianity even in the midst of gross idolatry, demonic sacrifice, humanistic, anti-Christ ideologies in a pagan culture with temples all around that far dwarfs in some ways what we are pitted against in our western societies. He refers to Himself as a wise master builder, working on the foundation of Christ in 1 Corinthians 3:10-15:
10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
We need this anointing in our day. We need to be able to reach into our culture and bring out the gold in the midst of the worthless and profane even as Paul and the early apostles did. When we go to these ancient places and walk the paths of the early apostles or of our Lord in Israel, and do so with a group of people who are on fire for the Lord and sincere in their hearts, something very special happens. We begin to touch the roots of our faith, the foundations that have made us who we are. We walk in the dust of those who have gone before us and the great cloud of witnesses speaks to us to run our race in our time!
